Karlen, Mr./Mrs. Ed (Silver - 3 MAY 1966)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Karlen, Rt. 3, Stanley, were honored by their children on the
occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary Sunday. Following the attending of
services at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the family enjoyed a dinner at the
Stanley Hotel.
Miss Ann Bye and Edward Karlen were married by Rev. J.N. Midtlien on May 3, 1941
at Our Savior's Lutheran Parsonage. They were attended by her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Bye.
The Karlens farmed in the area until 1953, when Mr. Karlen was employed by area
cheese factories doing quality work. They have been retired since 1964.
