Anderson, Del (09 Oct 1885 - 01 Aug 1968)

Del Anderson, Loyal, age 82. died at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, August 1, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, following complications from surgery.

Services were held Monday, August 5, at 2 p.m. at the Loyal United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Conrad Mickelson officiating and burial made in the Loyal cemetery.

William Chambers, soloist, sang "In the Garden" and :Abide With Me." Mrs. Byron Zepplin accompanied at the organ.

Pallbearers were Ray Hubing Lothar Oestreich, Garth Luchterhand, Neil Johnson, Leon Hoeser and George Drake.

The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Anderson was born on October 9, 1885 at Pipestone, Minnesota. On May 19, 1907 he married Ethyl Kendall at Springfield. He was employed as a butter maker in Crawford County until 1917 when they moved to a farm in the town of Loyal where he lived until the death of his wife in February of 1965. Since then he had made his home with his children.

He was a member of the Loyal United Methodist Church and served on the school board of the Dodgeville school and was secretary of Dodgeville Cheese Factory.

He is survived by one son, Arnold, Medford; and two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Helen) Hubing and Mrs. John (Doris) Rakovec, Loyal; nine grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs.Lilah Buchanan, Torrence, California; and Mrs. Fred (Sadie) Kreger, Watertown, South Dakota.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
