Skwierczynski, John (6 DEC 1881 - 30? NOV 1966)

Funeral services for John Skwierczynski, 84, was held Saturday at 8 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Stanley, with burial in St. Mary's Junction Cemetery.

Mr. Skwierczynski was born in Poland Dec. 6, 1881, and came to the United States when he was a young man, settling in Chicago. He moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and in 1923 married Mrs. Anna Ziemba at St. Mary's Church at Junction. They lived on a farm north of Stanley, then moved to Thorp in 1928, where they resided for four years, when they returned to the farm. They retired in 1939, and moved to Stanley. The last few years he had lived with his step-daughter, Mrs. Anna Ecklor, Boyd.

Surviving are six step-daughters, Mrs. John McGuire, Rockport, Texas, Mrs. Anna Ecklor, Boyd, Mrs. Helen Ocytko, Chicago, Mrs. Enrico Tonon, North Merrick, N.Y., Mrs. Hans Sorenson, Stanley, and Mrs. Anton Rudowski, Stanley.
