Loberg, Stella G. (3 JAN 1911 - 8 JUN 2014)

Stella G. Loberg, 103, Neillsville, died on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 11, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Rev. Dong Su Lee officiated. Interment was in the Marie Louise Chapel Cemetery in Christie. Casket bearers were Keith Loberg, Pete Lammar, Dennis Dehnke, Charlene Dehnke, Angele Lammar and Julie Schreiner.

Stella Grace Swoverland was born on Jan. 3, 1911, in Tony, the fourth daughter of 11 children to Jonas and Bertha (nee Kulhman) Swoverland. She married Kenneth B. Loberg on Oct. 9, 1940. She lived in Christie from the time of her marriage until 2002. She always enjoyed gardening, growing lots of flowers and baking. For 20 years, Stella wrote the Christie News for the Clark County Press.

She is survived by two children, Orville (Judy) Loberg, Neillsville, and Sharon Schreiner, Marshfield; four grandchildren, Charlene (Dennis) Dehnke, Fall Creek, Keith (Tammy) Loberg, Neillsville, Angele (Peter) Lammar, Stetsonville, and Julie (Jesse Curtin) Schreiner, Marathon City; and six great-grandchildren, Emily (Nik Nelson) Armbrust, Arielle, Marlana and Victoria Lammar, and Darrin and Dayne Loberg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth, in 2002; her son-in-law, Charles Schreiner, in 2006; and her siblings, Ray, Eva, Chris, Violet, Clarence, Andrew, Alice, Nina, Dorothy and Claude.
