Fourth of July at Colby.

Ball practice every evening.

Charlie Wadak was up from Marshfield, last Sunday.

Chas. Partridge was down from Abbotsford, yesterday.

Some of the Colby ball players are developing into pretty fair wind-whippers.

Miss Laura Gotchy visited with Carrie Vandercook at Spencer during the past week.

The Sons of Veterans are making preparations for a fine time in their dance, the night of the Fourth.

H. P. Rassmussen went to Waupaca Saturday and had some fun with the boys. He returned on Monday.

The Town Boards of Review had been in session, this week, changing and adjusting the assessment rolls.

Fred Bredemeyer and John July started Monday for Ashland. Hurley and Bessemer, to be gone several days.

Mesdames C. G. Stow, of Loyal, and E. A. Roscoe, of Beaver, were guests of Mrs. I. C. Gotchy during the past week.

We are pleased to see that D. B. Hull, of Stevens Point, formerly of this place has been granted an increase of pension.

Postmaster H. P. Graham was over from Eau Claire, Tuesday, on a business trip. He returned home the same evening.
