Baldeschwiler, Lila Mae (19 FEB 1966)

Miss Lila Mae Baldeschwiler of Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Baldeschwiler, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was married to Donald James Kieffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Kieffer, Auburndale, on Saturday, Feb. 19, 1966.

The Rev. Francis Brockman officiated at the 11 a.m. service in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, during which Mr. Baldeschwiler gave his daughter in marriage.

The church's mixed choir sang for the occasion, with Mrs. Ted Meyer singing "Hail Mary."

When the bride approached the altar she was seen wearing a floor-length bridal gown of satin brocade in a rose pattern. It was fashioned with long tapered sleeves, semi-scoop neckline etched with pearls and a sweeping chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil fell from a double crown of pearl arches and her cascade bouquet was comprised of anthuriums, from deep red to pale pink

Mrs. William Zaborowski, Eau Claire, was the matron of honor, with Mrs. Lyle Kolbeck, Marshfield, and Miss Suzann Kieffer, sister of the groom, Auburndale, the bridesmaids. Flower girl was Shelly Kieffer, niece of the groom, and the ring bearer was Raymond Osowski, nephew of the bride.

The bridal aides donned red velvet ankle-length formals featuring long sleeves, scoop neckline, and the empire waist, a band of satin highlight the eased sheath.

White fur muffs and headbands with blush veils completed their attire.

William Kieffer, Auburndale, was best man: Lyle Kolbeck, Marshfield, and William Zaborowski, Eau Claire, were groomsmen; and Marvin Treutel, Marshfield, and Eugene Oberle, Thorp, were ushers.

The wedding reception and dance were held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp.

Miss Margie Baldeschwiler took care of the guest book, and Karen Treutel and Gloria Spaeth cut the wedding cake.

Mrs. Kieffer was graduated from thorp High School in 1961 and from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Wausau, in 1965. She is employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield.

Her husband, who attended Auburndale High School, works for Marshfield Homes Inc.

After a wedding trip to Minneapolis and into Iowa, the Kieffers will reside on route 4, Marshfield.
