Mrs. Julius Koch, 90, Unity, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen where she had resided the past five years.

Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity with the Rev. Robert Sutherland officiating.  Burial was made in the Unity Lutheran cemetery.

The former Bertha Augusta Kloehn was born Aug. 25, 1875, in Dodge county and later came to the town of McMillan, Marathon county, where she received her education.  She was married to Julius Koch, who preceded her in death, on May 22, 1896, at St. Peter’s Lutheran church in the town of McMillan.

Mrs. Koch had made her home in Unity for about 50 years prior to going to Havenet.  She was a member of the Ladies’ Aid society of Trinity Lutheran church.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Clara) Johnson, Unity; nine grand children, and seven great grand children.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, two brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers were her grand sons, Jerald, Jackie, James and Dennis Koch, Robert and Lloyd Helsten.

Lloyd Ringquist of Spencer sang “Come Ye Disconsolate” and the choir sang “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Winkler at the organ.
