Armstrong, Cindy L. (14 September 1985)

The Chapel in the Woods, at Rocky Fork Lake, Ohio, provided the beautiful outdoor setting for the September 14 marriage of Cindy L. Armstrong and Captain Jeffrey L. Foster. Cindy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Armstrong, Hillsboro, Ohio. Jeff is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Foster, Neillsville.

Elder Dwight Crum and Father J. Andres officiated over the ceremony. A program of prenuptial music was provided by Clifford Smith, organist and Kat4hy Holbrook, soloist.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a Parisian gown of Edwardian design. A floral lace overlay complimented the white satin gown; a white satin bow accentuated the waist. Her white veiled hat was adorned with silk flowers and a satin bow. She carried a white-laced parasol with a bouquet of yellow roses, orange mums, and bronze daisies.

Matron of honor was Robin Armstrong, sister-in-law of the bride. She was attired in a peach Parisian design taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. A wreath of autumn flowers adorned her head.

Gary H. Foster attended his brother as bestman. Ushers were Larry D. Armstrong, brother of the bride and Mark L. Foster, brother of the groom.

The outdoor stone altar was decorated with a large bouquet of autumn flowers and two lighted tapers. White bows graced the trees along the pathway to the chapel.

Mother of the bride wore a forest green chiffon dress with a corsage of orchids. The groom’s mother wore an ivory crepe dress, accented by an orchid corsage. Grandmothers of the bride, Mrs. Viola Woods and Mrs. Mary Armstrong, of Hillsboro, wore blue dresses with orchids.

A reception was held at the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church, Hillsboro.

The couple traveled to Neillsville where a reception was held in their honor at the groom’s parents. After spending time touring the Michigan lakefront and central Wisconsin, they returned to their home in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England.

Finck, Patricia Ann (5 October 1985)

Patricia Ann Finck became the bride of Dallas Neville during a 1:30 p.m. nuptial ceremony held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. Father Joseph Henseler officiated at the service, and musical selections were provided by organist Ronald Resong and vocalist Rita Kuchenbecker.

The bride and groom were given in marriage by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Finck, Jr., of Neillsville, parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Neillsville residents Mr. and Mrs. William E. Neville, Sr.

Mrs. Dallas Neville was attired in a white gown with high neckline and fitted bodice, featuring Venice lace and re-embroidered schiffli lace accented with pearled sequins. Chantilly lace trimmed the bishop sleeves, and the three-tiered skirt of chenille coin dot and Chantilly lace flowed into a chapel train. Her matching hat, trimmed with lace and beaded pearls, held a fingertip illusion veil. She carried a short cascade bouquet of teal gyps, white roses, yellow lilies, light teal pixie carnations, white angel lace and greens, accented by teal and white satin streamers.

Julie Ewing, of Abbotsford, was maid of honor, while Mary Kay Mills, of Neillsville, serviced as matron of honor. Both wore teal blue taffeta gowns with ruffled neck and hemlines, Basque waists, puffed sleeves, accented with tie bows. Their teal blue open-weave picture hats held a matching fingertip veil. White lilies, dark teal carnations, light teal and yellow pixie carnations, white angel lace and greens, trimmed with teal veiling and teal and white streamers composed their Colonial bouquets.

Mr. Neville, wearing a black tux with short jacket, grey and black pinstripe trousers, white shirt with stand-up collar, black bow tie and cummerbund, was attended by bestman Jim Mills and honorary bestman Brad Lindner, both of Neillsville. Ushers were Dick Edwards, Loyal, and Korey Schillinger, Neillsville, escorted guests into the church.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held at Fannie’s Super Club, Neillsville. Prenuptial events included a couples shower hosted by Jim and Bev. McCauley, and Jim and Mary Kay Mills.

An administrative assistant at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, Marshfield, the bride is a 1981 graduate of Neillsville High School, a 1983 graduate of District One Technical Institute, Eau Claire. The groom is a 1978 graduate of Neillsville High School, and a 1981 graduate of District One’s Police Academy, Eau Claire. He is employed with the Clark County Traffic Department. After a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, the couple will make their home in Clark County.

Rev. Marion Cain of Putnam Heights Church of Christ, Eau Claire, officiated at the October 5 ceremony joining Joanne M. Grassman and Bryan T. Bell in marriage. Music for the 4 p.m. service was provided by organist Gary Wendt and soloist Dane Anderson. Parents of the couple are Lloyd and Irene Grassman, Granton; Mary Bell, Eau Claire; and Roger Bell, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by maid of honor Patricia Grassman and bridesmaids Norene Vandeberg, JoAnn Larson and Ann Richter. Personal attendant to the bride was Connie Malueg. Attending the groom was Ron Vandeberg, bestman, and groomsmen Roger Bell, Lynn Anderson and Bill Carroll.

Following the ceremony a reception and dance was held at the Seymour Town Hall, Eau Claire. After a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, the couple will make their home at Oakdale, Minnesota.

Kastenmeier, Pamela Sue (5 October 1985)

Pamela Sue Kastenmeier and Kevin John Anason became husband and wife during an afternoon service, October 5, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville. Pastor Richard Weber officiated at the nuptial ceremony and organist Sharon Nemitz provided music. Parents of the couple are Dennis and Margaret Kastenmeier, Beaver Dam, and Lamoine and Carol Anason, Rt. 1 Neillsville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore her mother’s gown, a floor length linen sheath with an empire waist, Alencon lace trimmed scoop neckline, and three-quarter length sleeves. Her circular train was also edged with Alencon lace. Baby’s breath covered her circlet headpiece holding an illusion veil. She carried a bouquet filled with blue daisies and white carnations accented with baby’s breath and ribbons.

Bridal attendants, maid of honor Julie Kastenmeier and bridesmaid Kathy Anason were attired in sheer blue organza gowns with long sleeves and ruffled, flounced hemlines. They carried blue and white carnation bouquets.

The groom dressed in his Air Force Uniform was attended by best man Larry Anason and groomsman Gary Anason, both wore suits of navy blue. Serving as ushers at the church were Merk Kastenmeier and Randy Anason.

Following the wedding a reception and dance were held at the Neillsville American Legion. Prenuptial events included a bridal shower given by Charlene, Kathy and Carolyn Anason with Cheryl Alf.

A 1985 graduate of Beaver Dam High School, the bride is employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken. After graduating from Neillsville High School in 1985, the groom joined the U.S. Air Force. He is currently stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and the couple will reside there.

Susan Luedtke became the bride of James Heck on Saturday, October 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. Father Joseph Henseler officiated during the 2 p.m. service. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Luedtke, Neillsville; Mrs. Colleen Locher, Owen; and Mr. Terry Heck, Greenwood.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was dressed in a white gown and veil and carried a bouquet of peach roses and carnations.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Bev. Kalsow, Neillsville, James and David Luedtke served as ushers for wedding guests.

Following the wedding a dinner and dance was held at the Neillsville American Legion.

The bride is a 1985 Neillsville High School graduate. The groom, employed as a farmer laborer, graduated from Greenwood High School in 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Heck will make their home in Greenwood.

Mahoney, Dawn Renee (12 October 1985)

Fr. Bob Streveler, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, officiated at the afternoon ceremony, Saturday, October 12 uniting Michael Ronald Kitzhaber and Dawn Renee Mahoney in Holy Matrimony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mahoney, Rt. 2, Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kitzhaber, Rt. 3, Greenwood.

Organist Jodi Dahlby and vocalists Diane Anderegg, Sharon Schoonover and Judy Zettler provided wedding music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sheer organza gown of venise and Chantilly lace, accented with a Queen Anne neckline, Victorian sleeves, and a ruffle-flounced hemline sweeping to a lace-trimmed cathedral train. Matching beaded lace covered her Derby hat which held a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses with burgundy rosebuds.

Maid of honor was Bernice Schmidt, Wausau, and bridesmaids were Terri Schlagenhaft, Colorado, Lisa Kitzhaber and Doris Lindner, both of Greenwood. All were attired in Daphne rose-colored taffeta gowns with off-the-shoulder neckline, puff sleeves, and flared skirts. Their lace held bouquets featured white and pink carnations with burgundy roses.

Dion Landini, of Texas, was bestman. Greg Mahoney, Loyal, Ken Kitzhaber and Randy Vesel, both of Greenwood, served as groomsmen. Escorting guests into the church we3re Nick Kitzhaber, of Minnesota, and Randy Kitzhaber, Greenwood.

Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held at the Loyal American Legion. The wedding photography was arranged by Strack Photography of Neillsville.

A 1982 graduate of Loyal High School and Mid-State Technical Institute in 1984, the bride is a charge control clerk at the Marshfield Clinic. The groom graduated from Greenwood High School in 1981 and District one Technical Institute, Eau Claire in 1982, is self-employed in the auto body business, at Greenwood. Following a trip to Florida, the couple will reside at Rt. 3 Greenwood.

Olson, Lora J. (19 October1985)

Lora J. Olson and Robert P. Skroch became husband and wife in an afternoon ceremony, October 19, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, officiated by Rev. Richard Weber. Organist Sharon Nemitz and vocalists Kari Mohr and Marlis Wetzel provided the musical accompaniment. Parents of the bride are Howard and Theresa Olson, Neillsville, and parents of the groom are Everett and Susan Skroch, also of Neillsville.

Escorted to the altar by her uncle, Harlo Olson of St. Charles, Missouri, the bride wore a gown of white acetate taffeta with polyester lace and satin ribbon trim. The stand-up collar was schiffli-embroidered and gleamed with simulated pearls and sequins. The front and back net yokes flowed into an off-the-shoulder style, trimmed with marabou while tiers of lace with satin ribbon trim extended into a chapel-length train. Matching pearls and sequins accented her derby hat, which held a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of lavender roses, white carnations and ivy.

Linda Glassbrenner, Neillsville, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shirley Krehmeyer, Neillsville, and Linda Barth, cousin of the bride of Whitewater. All wore orchid acetate taffeta gowns with full skirts. The front and back net yokes were an off-the-shoulder style, with tiers of orchid lace encircling the bottom and reaching the waist in the back. They carried bouquets of purple tiger lilies and carnations trimmed with white ribbon.

The groom wearing a silver tuxedo and white-pleated shirt, was attended by bestman, Marlin Mashin, Mark Meyer and Jim Skroch, brother of the groom, all of Neillsville. All wore silver tuxedos with lilac-pleated shirts. Ushers for the wedding ceremony were Don Mashin and Kevin Hilliard both of Neillsville.

Theresa Krehmeyer attired in a white dress made by her grandmother, Jean Hanson, was flowergirl while Jason Krehmeyer, wearing a tuxedo, was ring bearer.

A dinner, reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Neillsville American Legion Hall. A bridal shower was held by Mary Schultz, sister of the groom.

A 1983 graduate of Neillsville High School, the bride is employed by the Yellow Rose Café. The groom, a graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed at Sav-Rite Building Center, of Neillsville.

Brenda Ann Radke became the bride of Dr, Michael Kevin Strobush during an afternoon ceremony, August 31, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Minesota Lake, Minnesota. The Rev. George L. Head officiated at the ceremony. Music was provided by organist Kimbra Lau and soloist Barb Beyer.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Radke of Minnesota Lake are the parents of the bride. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Strobush of Woodville, Wisconsin and Mrs. Dorothy Hughes of Hudson, Wisconsin.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white silk taffeta gown with a scooped neckline and fitted bodice, featuring venise and Chantilly lace accented with rhinestone and pearl sequins. Chantilly lace and silk ribbon trimmed the Victorian sleeves, with a ruffle-flounced hemline sweeping to a Chantilly laced chapel train. Matching flower appliques covered the brim of her derby hat which held a fingertip veil trimmed with Chantilly lace accented with rhinestones, pearl sequins and a white silk ribbon. The hat was made by Laurie Maidl, the bride’s sister and her self. She carried a fresh bouquet of white roses, violet carnations and English Ivy.

Linda Radke, sister of the bride from Rochester, Minnesota, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laurie Maidl of Rochester, Minnesota, Debbie Weiland of Granton; Nancy Herzog of Ham Lake, Minnesota; and Anita Domeier of New Ulm, Minnesota. All were attired in violet silk taffeta gowns featuring jackets with a stand-up ruffle collar. The bridesmaids also wore head pieces specially made by florist Dan Maidl, the bride’s brother-in-law. Personal attendants for the bride were Terri Kruger and Deb Ulrich, both friends of the bride and both of Wells, Minnesota.

The groom, wearing a white tuxedo was attended by his brother and bestman, Randy Strobush from Ham Lake, Minnesota. Groomsmen included Brian Strobush from Hudson, Wisconsin; Dr. Wayne Weiland of Granton; Steven Radke of Minnesota lake, Minnesota; and Dr. Jay Bailey of Viroqua. All groomsmen wore black tuxedos with white pleated shirts and violet bow ties. Guests were ushered into the church by Scott Radke of Easton, Minnesota; and Dr. Brian Mass, of Seymour, Wisconsin.

A dinner reception followed the ceremony in the church social hall. The wedding dance was held at the New Richland American Legion Hall. Following a wedding trip to Orlando, Florida, the couple are at home at Rt. 4 Neillsville.

A graduate of Minnesota Lake High School and the University of Minnesota at Waseca, the bride is employed as a Veterinary Technician at Grassland Veterinary Service of Granton. The groom, a Hudson High School and University of Minnesota graduate is a Veterinarian at Grassland Veterinary Service of Granton.

Saucedo, Sarah Ann (11 October 1985)

Sarah Ann Saucedo and Alan Donald Scharf became husband and wife on October 11, at the Moraine Park six miles west of Neillsville. Norman Saracoff performed the marriage ceremony. Parents of the couple are Alice and Eddie Moreno, Austin, Texas, and Gerry and Donald Scharf, Rt. Granton.

Her bouquet of red and white carnations accented the bride’s full length white gown of southern-style lace. A sister of the groom, Faye Klein from Sheboygan Falls, served as matron of honor. She wore a heavenly blue, full length gown and carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations.

Serving as best man was a brother of the groom, Gary Scharf of Granton. He wore a brown, three piece suit complimenting the groom’s suit of gray pinstripe. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Fannie’s Supper Club, Neillsville, with a dance later at the Granton Sportsman’s Club.

The bride is an assistant manager with McDonalds. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, the groom is an assistant manage with Alpine Drinking Waters. After a wedding trip to Minneapolis-St. Paul, the couple will make their home in Austin, Texas.

Patricia Simplot and James Rakovec became husband and wife during an afternoon ceremony October 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville. Father Joseph Henseler witnessed the vows and music was provided by soloist Rita Kuchenbecker and organist Ronnie Resong. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Opelt, Neillsville; Margaret Rakovec, Neillsville; and Frank Rakovec, Loyal.

Escorted to the altar by her stepfather, Rudolph Opelt, the bride wore a Victorian gown of sheer organza and Chantilly lace. The high neckline of be-ruffled lace was accented by cap sleeves and a ruffled, flounced hemline sweeping to a chapel train. Her headpiece held a fingertip veil and wastrimmed with lace and pearls. She carried pink and burgundy roses.

Serving as maid of honor was Barbara McDonald, Eau Claire, while bridesmaids were Penny Opelt, and Kathy Jo Rakovec, both of Neillsville. All wore pink taffeta gowns with ruffled necklines, puffed sleeves and gathered skirts. They also carried pink and burgundy roses.

The groom was attended by bestman David Rakovec and groomsmen Warren Polzin and Gary Opelt, all of Neillsville. Ushers for the wedding ceremony were Rick Ascher, Edgar, and Dewey Thibodeau, Appleton. Carrie and Chad Rakovec were flower girl and Ring bearer.

A dinner and dance, at the Neillsville American Legion, followed the wedding ceremony.

Employed as a kitchen aide at Memorial Hospital, the bride is a 1985 graduate of Neillsville High School. An employee of Gross Motors, Neillsville, the groom graduated in 1981 from Neillsville High School. Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside at Rt. 2 Neillsville.

Rev. T.P. Bradtke officiated at the wedding ceremony, on October 12, uniting Darwin Dean Schlinsog and Judy Ann Tremelling in marriage. The 3 p.m. service took place at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, and musical selections were provided by organist Mrs. T.P. Bradtke and soloist Greg Peterson. Mother of the bride is Hattie Schwarze, Marshfield. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schlinsog, Rt. 2 Granton.

Escorted to the altar by her daughters, Tracy and Tammy Tremelling, the bride wore an ivory chiffon, ball length gown with ruffled and ribbon detail. Her ivory pillbox hat held Russian veiling. She carried a bouquet of off-white gardenias and carnations, orchid roses and stephanotis.

Matron of honor Mrs. Earl (Karen) Spindler and bridesmaid Mrs. Dale (Gloria) Riedel were attired in satin gowns of orchid, violet, and huckleberry with sweetheart necklines and matching hairpieces. Their bouquets held orchid carnations, roses, daisies, and baby’s breath.

The groom and his attendants, bestman Roger Nitschke and groomsman Dale Riedel, were dressed in light gray tuxedos. Escorting guests into the church were Gil Schwarze and Earl Spindler.

A reception and dance, at the Granton Sportsman’s Club, followed the wedding.

A 1963 graduate of Marshfield Senior High, the bride is a secretary for M & I Central Bank and Trust, Marshfield. The groom, a self-employed carpenter and cabinetmaker, is a 1964 graduate of Granton High School. After a wedding trip to Mackinac Island, the couple will be at home at 10991 W. 1st St., Hewitt, Wisconsin.
