Tischendorf, Lloyd L. (29 Jul 1912 – 3 Oct 1966)

Lloyd L, Tischendorf, 54, a native of Dorchester and a resident of Allens Grove since 1952, died Monday, Oct. 3, in Lakeland Hospital, Elkhorn, after an illness of several years.  He was the son of Robert A. and Clara Nelson Tischendorf.

Born July 29, 1912, in Dorchester, Mr. Tischendorf attended schools in Minocqua.  He married Virginia Genette Walsh of Marshfield May 5, 1962 in Waukegan, Ill.  Mr. Tischendorf worked as carpenter foreman and job superintendent for Cunningham Brothers Construction Co., and Mid-States Concrete, South Beloit.

He was a member of the Allens Grove Methodist Church and the carpenters labor union.

Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Susan and Julie, at home, Mrs. Norman (Viola) De Remer, Janesville, Mrs. John (Karen) Hahn, Clinton, and Linda Tischendorf,  Milwaukee; two step-sons, David Walsh, serving with the navy in California, and Terrance Walsh, at home, and five grandchildren.  Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in Allens Grove Methodist Church at Darien, Wis.  The Rev. Harold Norton officiated.  Burial was made at Mount Phillips cemetery in Allens Grove.

Attending the funeral from this are were Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Thieme, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin J. Ramker and son, Colby, Mrs. Elmer Leichtnam, Al Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nelson, Mrs. Melvin Atzen, Ed Leichtnam, Abbotsford, Mrs. Earl Prochnow, Athens, and Mrs. Alvin Nelson, Ogema.
