Stapel Mr./Mrs. Paul (Gold – 8 APR 1947)

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stapel, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Easter Day with a 1 o'clock dinner at the United Lutheran Church, Greenwood. They were married in Winnebago, Minn., April 8, 1897, engaging in farming in Minnesota for 14 years before coming to Wisconsin, where they were in business for 16 years. In 1926 they moved to Clark County, becoming farmers once again. When they retired in 1943 they moved to their present location, a farm west of the city limits of Greenwood, where they now reside. Four of their seven children, who are living, attended the celebration. Three sons are dead. There are 14 grandchildren.
