Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pakiz; were Mrs. Rose Zepaltas and children, Miss Brooks Rector, Mrs. Henry Harder, Sue Klinke, the Rev. Michael Mertens, Dennis Pakiz, Willard Scheuring, Dan Stiglitz, their daughter, Miss Patrice Pakiz, who attends the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and Sec. Lt. and Mrs. David Pakiz and children, Vance AFB, Enid, Okla.

The Esther Circle of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will meet at the home of Mrs. Leonard Johnson at 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) and the Naomi Circle also will meet today at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Sam Johnson. The January meeting of the Dorcas Circle will be held at the home of Mrs. Clifford Simonson.

Wednesday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Toburen were Mr. and Mrs. William Kuester and daughter, Loretta, and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Bell of Neillsville.

Miss Anita Vance and James Zepaltas of Eau Claire, who spent the weekend here, were accompanied by his mother, Mrs. John Zepaltas, and Tom and Kathy, to Phillips where they spent the day with her mother, Mrs. Mary Jasurda, and the Frank Jasurda family.

Mr. and Mrs. Harland Carl and family of Madison spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Irvin Carl, and his brother, Robert Carl and family.

Holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatz Koschak were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bobb and family of Watertown, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel and family of Madison and Miss Bernadine Koschak and Tom Wall of Kimberly.

Mr. and Mrs. John Zepaltas and daughters have returned from a 10-day visit with her mother in North Carolina, with friends in Norfolk, VA., and with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fellenz and family in Forest Park, O.

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Priewe and family of Green Bay visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Abel, Wednesday and Thursday.

Diane Zepaltas spent a few days with friends in Columbus.

Mrs. Arthur Bushman suffered a fractured pelvis in a fall on ice Wednesday morning and was taken to Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

New Year’s Eve supper and evening guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie were their children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and daughter, Jane, Mrs. David McFarlane, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunn of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Steuber of Mondovi, Mrs. (balance of names cut off)
