Tuesday, Aug. 16th Hugo Lenz was taken to the Chippewa Hospital for treatment.

Our new schoolhouse is being built fast.

Mrs. Fred Kalkofen of Antigo and son Willie motored down to Eaton Center to visit with H. Kalkofen and family.

A number of Eaton Center people attended a party given at Roberts Syth's, and all report a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Noetzel and family spent Sunday at the Geo. Scherer home.

Mr. and Mrs. Al Susa spent Sunday at the H. Kalkofen home.

Eaton Center baseball team defeated Tioga Sunday, the score being 6 – 5.

Fred Kocher took Mrs. Lenz and children to Chippewa Falls Sunday to visit Mr. Lenz, who seems to be improving, at least we all hope so.

Mrs. Sam Christie, who was at the Marshfield hospital, returned to her home Saturday, somewhat improved in health.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Potter's came near having a bad accident Sunday with their horse and buggy as they were returning from town.

Geo. Scherer is busy filling his silo.

Mr. Syth is hauling gravel for the new schoolhouse.

Ben Stanley is filling silo for Robert McConnell.

H. Kalkofen and family called on Fred Kalkofen Wednesday evening, who is employed in a factory near Granton.

Mrs. Otto Roehl autoed to Thorp the first of the week. The Misses Ella and Jennie Lindquist returned with her for a visit. They returned home on Wednesday after visiting with old friends.

Glenn Covey rode up from Pittsville on his motorcycle and spent a few days with his sister, Mrs. Otto Roehl.
