Winson, Myrna (19 April 1960 - 30 July 2014)

Myrna M. Winson, 54, of Merrillan passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Eau Claire. She was born April 16, 1960, in Whitehall to Merlin and Alberta (Myers) Peterson.

Myrna was raised in the Northfield area and was a 1978 graduate of Whitehall High School. She was united in marriage to Chris Winson Jan. 14, 1984 at Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church, Northfield. Myrna worked for Figi’s of Neillsville for 16 years. She has been working for Regal-Beloit for the past six years. Myrna is a member of the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church of Northfield.

Myrna enjoyed gardening, painting, cross-stitching, shopping, socializing, Christmas, collecting snowmen, baking, cooking and watching sporting events that her children were involved in. During her younger years, she had a passion for being on the farm, the cows and being involved in 4-H.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Chris; daughters, Bridget and micelle; father, marlin; sisters, Nancy (Butch) Nelson of Alma Center and LuAnn (Steve) Green of Merrillan; and other family and friends

Myrna was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church, Northfield. Rev. Terry Marg officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Family and friends were invited to visitation Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 5 p. m. at Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, WI. Family and friends were also invited to visitation Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
