Greenwood (1 February 1973)

Henry Dill came from Chicago to visit his mother, Mrs. Lydia Dill, and attend the funeral of his uncle William Kuester.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent Sunday afternoon with their brother-in-law, George Osterhaus of Plainfield, who is a patient at the Marshfield hospital.

The Tuesday afternoon 500 club was entertained by Mrs. Leota Murphy.

Mr. and Mrs. Everett Humke and daughter, Shelley, of Rochester, Minn., spent several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, and attended the funeral of his aunt, Mrs. George Humke.

Timothy Plunkett and Miss Jean Knudson of La Crosse visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Plunkett, Wednesday.

Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vollrath were Mr. and Mrs. Noel Daugherty of Stueben, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gantner, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Laabs, Mrs. Donald Laabs, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Laabs of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Art Albrecht and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Albrecht of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. William Rodgers and family, Mrs. Jerry Mueller and Mike Jones of Redgranite, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler of Loyal.

Mrs. Vilas Brockman of Freedom, Mrs. Don Bon of Willard and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux and family were entertained Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brux in Marshfield.

Warren Mondloch is a patient at the hospital in Marshfield.

The youth Fellowship met in the Immanuel United Church schoolhouse Sunday evening for their first meeting this year. Officers elected for 1973 are Debbie Liebzeit, president; Betty Fravert, vice president and treasurer; and Janet Henaman, secretary. The group decided to sell stationery to raise funds and also discussed the candle project. The Rev. Pacifico Camarin showed a film, “Is it Right to be Right?”

Mrs. Vilas Brockman of Freedom spent from Wednesday until Sunday at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Brux. Friends were entertained in her honor at a coffee party at the Brux home Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Arthur Bushman was dismissed Friday from Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, where she had been a patient since December 22.

The young adults Bible study group of Immanuel United Church met last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Block.

Elmer Noah is a surgical patient at the hospital in Marshfield.
