Specialist Four Russell J. boie, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey J. Boie, route
3, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., received the Army Commendation Medal June 26, 1967
near Di An, Vietnam, where he is serving with the 1st Infantry Division.
Spec.. Boie earned the award for meritorious service as a driver in Battery C.,
1st Battalion of the Division's 7th Artillery.
He entered the Army in July 1966, and was stationed at F. Sill, Okla., before
arriving in Vietnam last December.
