Kolpack, Clifford P. (23 NOV 1918 - 7 JUL 2012)
Clifford P. Kolpack 93, Wausau formerly of Edgar died Saturday July 7, 2012 at
Wausau Manor.
He was born November 23, 1918 in Marathon County, son of the late Harry and
Helen (Hapke) Kolpack.
Cliff was a life-long member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Rib Falls.
On June 10, 1943 he married Pearl Grendel at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, town
of Rib Falls. She preceded him in death on August 5, 1985. He then married
Esther Stencil. She survives.
Cliff completed eighth grade in the Edgar School District and began dairy
farming in the town of Reitbrock in 1930. He took great pride in the quality and
production of his dairy cattle receiving several awards for his cattle
husbandry. After leaving the farm in 1975, he began a new career as a regional
seed salesman for the Jacques Seed Company and received many awards for
outstanding sales achievements.
Clifford took many leadership roles for the Edgar School Board, Marathon Co Farm
Bureau, Midwest Breeders Cooperative, AAL (Thrivent), St. John's Lutheran Church
and many other local organizations. He appreciated many friendships with his
rural neighbors, church fellowship and clients. He also enjoyed planting trees
and working in the woods, feeding song birds and playing sheep head.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Kolpack, Wausau, two sons Terry (Sue)
Kolpack, Maryville, TN and Bryce (Elaine) Kolpack, Edgar, Grandchildren, Eric
(Holly) Kolpack (Appleton WI) Jason (Kristy) Kolpack (Glendale, WI) James
(Colleen) Kolpack (Oak Ridge, TN) Mary Ann Kolpack (Nashville TN),
Step-Children: Carol (Ray) Glatch, Hartland, WI Larry (Gail) Stencil, Luck WI ,
Conale (Kenny) Kresbach, Edgar, Jayne (Dennis) Strasser, Edgar WI; Great
grandchildren Jacob, Carter and Grant, one brother-in-law, Rev. Dennis (Darlene)
Kempf, Mosinee and seven nieces and one nephew.
Besides his parents and first wife, Cliff was preceded in death by two sisters,
Jeanette Biesmann and Beatrice Wiederhoeft.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 10, 2012 at St. John Ev.
Lutheran Church, town of Rib Falls. The Rev. Terry Reich will officiate. Burial
will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Rib Falls. Friends may call on
Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,
Edgar and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the
church.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church.
