Smola, Janice K. (16 SEP 1967)

Miss Janice K. Smola, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor C. Smola, Chippewa Falls, was given in marriage by her father to Gerald F. Micke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Micke Sr., Stanley, on Saturday, Sept. 16, 1967.

The 12:30 p.m. marriage ceremony was solemnized by Rev. Wolf in St. Charles Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. The floor length bridal gown of imported linen was fashioned with an A-line skirt and empire bodice. Venice lace embossed the bell sleeves and the magnificent court train. A. sheer bouffant veil was secured to a petite pillbox highlighted with gleaming crystals. She carried white spider mums.

Kathi Smola was maid of honor, w ith Miss Jan Flaa, Miss LaVonne Messerschmidt and Miss Barb Micke, all of Minneapolis, as bridesmaids. They wore willow green linen floor length A-line gowns with elbow length sleeves and scoop neckline with a band Venice lace encircling the empire bodice. They each wore bouffant bustle veils secured to a petal Cloche.

John Anderson, St. Paul, was the groom's best man, and groomsmen were Armon Micke, Minneapolis, Patrick Pabich Chicago, and Joe Szczech of Minneapolis. Ushers were Wm. Micke Jr. and James Smola.

A reception was held at the Elk's Country Club, Chippewa Falls.

The bride attended Chippewa Falls High School and Minnesota School of Business, and the groom attended Thorp High School and the University of Wisconsin.

After a wedding trip to the West Coast they will make their home at 310 N. Washington St., Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
