Frances Strebing was born July 8, 1915, in the Town of Levis south of Neillsville. She was the daughter of Marie (Johnson) and Frank Kuzel. She was born and lived with her mother on the old Lenz farm, which was located just south of Pineview and Borglin Road crossing. She was united in marriage to Raymond Strebing in 1938. They owned and operated Ray’s South Side Food Mart and the Texaco gas station on Division Street in Neillsville from 1940 to 1959. In 1959 the store and gas station was sold and the family moved to New York Mills, NY.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; one step-sister, Carolyn Sayer; and one step-brother, Leroy Lenz.

As per Frances’ request, there be no public funeral, she will be buried in the New York Mills, NY cemetery.

We would like to thank Tanya Hager, our mother’s granddaughter, for letting Mother stay with her family and giving her the excellent care for the past six years.
