Janesville Settlement (1 Aug 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. C. Loeffler and Joe Buettner called at the Schroeder home Friday evening.

Roger Dillenbeck, Evan Hatton and Mrs. Moorhead and dAughters, Annabel and Loretta, attended the farewell dance at the armory at Neillsville Thursday evening.

Mrs. Emma Syth and Iola Farning spent Sunday with Mrs. Ed. Keefe.

Orville Dimeler and H. Marvin spent Thursday evening at J.J. Susa’s.

Dr. and Mrs. Carl Baker were in our vicinity Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Hatton and son, Donald, spent Sunday at Al. Flagg’s.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bodwin of Globe were callers in this vicinity Sunday.

Mrs. Waseca and dAughters, Anna and Sophia, Mr. and Mrs. S. Marvin and Mrs. Leo Dimeler spent Sunday evening at J.J. Susa’s.

Wm. Rowert and Mrs. D. Moorehead and dAughters spent Sunday evening at Hatton’s.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and son, Roger, Mrs. F. Hatton, Mr. and Mrs. C. Hatton, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Dimeler, Mr. and Mrs. S. Marvin and Mrs. D. Moorehead and family all autoed to Neillsville Friday to bid the soldier boys farewell. The boys left for Camp Grant and as the train pulled out there was much cheering by the boys. The parents of these boys may feel proud that they can give such a lot of fine men to the service of their country.

Antonia Marlik is helping Mrs. J.J. Susa with her housework.

Inez Clintsman, sister and two children of Oshkosh are here on a visit.

Mrs. Joe Lakatick and dAughter, Mary, and little son left Saturday morning for Chicago for a weeks’ visit with relatives.

Tom Moorhead was a Willard caller Sunday afternoon.
