Janesville Settlement (8 Aug 1918)

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Halle, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Hatton, Mrs. Chas. Bostwick and Evan Hatton all spent Sunday evening at S.B. Flagg’s.

Anna Waseca spent Sunday with Hattie Susa in Owega.

Mr. and Mrs. John Susa and little son spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. F. Meyer.

Mr. and Mrs. Lew Dimler and family were callers at the West side Saturday evening.

Mrs. S. Marvin and sons, Alfred and Henry, called at the Buettner and Loeffler homes Friday evening.

The Larkin Club members will get their goods from Mrs. M.M. Bahl this month. The ladies have decided not to have any more meetings on account of the high cost of living, etc.

Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Susa spent Sunday at the Marvin home.

Mrs. D. Moorehead and dAughter, Loretta, spent Monday afternoon with Mrs. Ed. Keefe.

Mrs. Charles Churkey and son, Donald, were Greenwood callers on Monday,

F. Hatton and sons and Tom Moorehead are helping Roger Dillenbeck finish making hay.

Miss Mary Huckstead of Neillsville called on the J.S. School Board Friday evening.

Mrs. F. Hatton and Helen Farning spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Charles Churkey.

Mrs. Chas. Bostwick spent Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. C. Hatton.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and son, Roger, Mrs. F. Hatton and son, Evan, and Mrs. D. Moorehead and dAughters, Annabel and Loretta, attended the funeral of Fred Wendt, Sr., at Neillsville Friday.

Mrs. Joe Lokatick arrived home from Lafayette, Ill., Saturday after visiting for several weeks.

Will Klause and family autoed down from Thorp Sunday for a visit with their cousin, Mrs. Wm. Rowert.

Al. Flagg had the misfortune to have their Collie dog killed by an auto Friday evening.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and son, Roger, and Evan Hatton spent Thursday evening at the J.H. Stafford home at Greenwood.

Joe Bodwin and Edwin Klueckman of Globe are cutting the Bahr marsh this week.

Mrs. Joe Susa. Sr., spent Sunday at the Lenherr home.

Will Dimeler and family and Al. Armstrong were callers at Lew Dimeler’s Sunday.
