Janesville Settlement (29 Aug 1918)

Mrs. Chas. Bostwick spent last week sewing for Mrs. D. Moorehead.

Roy Rowert spent Sunday afternoon with Alvin Boe.

Joseph Buettner is one of the busiest men in the J.S. now days since he received his new threshing machine and tractor. This is a fine outfit and we wish you good luck, Joe.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and son, Roger, Mrs. Bert Clark and children and Mr. and Mrs. F. Hatton all spent Wednesday evening at Clark Hatton’s.

A. Borgers and wife of West Eaton called at Hugo Halle’s and Joe Buettner’s homes Friday evening.

Most all of the young people from here attended the dance at Globe Friday evening.

Mrs. Joe Bodwin and dAughter, Mrs. Ed. Klueckman, of Globe spent Sunday with Mrs. L.K. Webber and Mrs. J.J. Susa.

R. Waseca called on M.M. Bahl Sunday.

John Susa called at the Frank Meyer home Tuesday evening.

F. Hatton and sons, Evan and Russell, and Clark and Roger Dillenbeck called on Lew Dimeler Sunday afternoon.

Anna and Sophia Waseca spent Monday evening with Inez Clintsman.

Wm. Rowert called at the D. Moorehead home Sunday.

Leo Palzer of Owega called on Joe Buettner Wednesday evening.

Anna and Sophia Waseca and Matilda and Jennie Marlik spent Sunday with Mrs. F. Meyers.

The Frank and Clark Hatton families and Mrs. Clark and children spent Sunday with Mrs. Dillenbeck.

Joe Bodwin of Globe was a business caller in this vicinity Wednesday.

The Larkin Club will meet with Mrs. Wm. Rowert Friday afternoon. Ladies, please bring your knitting.

Joe Buettner threshed Saturday to see how his machine worked.
