St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene of the marriage October 7, 1967 of Miss Genevieve Louise Nikolai, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Nikolai, and Dennis John Nawracaj, Glen Ellyn, Ill., son of William Kuranda, Glen Allyn.

The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated at the 2 p.m. service.

The maid of honor was Miss Patricia Nikolai of Milwaukee and bridesmaids were Miss Mary Jo Nikolai and MIss Karen Nikolai, sisters of the bride, and Miss Diana Nawracaj, a sister of the groom, Glen Ellyn.

The church organist and the children's choir provided music during the nuptial high mass.

The bride chose a floor length entrained gown of ivory peau de soie with an A-line floor length skirt and lace trimmed bodice. A silk fingertip veil was held in place by a band of white pompon chrysanthemums and ivy. She carried a cascade arranagmenet of red roses and white pompon chrysanthemums and ivy.

The bridal attendants wore peacock blue A-line floor length dresses with three quarter length trumpet sleeves of open work lace. They each carried a single lareg bronze football mum.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the afternoon and evening at the Abbotsford City Hall, with a dinner served at St. Mary's Parish Hall.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home at 2N359 Amy Avenue, Glen Ellyn, Ill., where the groom is employed as a mechanist, at Addison. He is a graduate of the Colby High School. The bride is a 1966 graduate of the Loyal High School. She attended Wisconsin State University at Eau Claire for one year and was employed at Evanston, Ill.
