Schoen, Linda Lou (Marriage - 13 October 1973)

Wedding vows were pledged Saturday, October 13, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Miss Linda Lou Schoen and Gary Lee Miller. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated at the 12 o’clock ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schoen, Rt. 2, Neillsville, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller, Rt. 3 Neillsville.

As the former Miss Schoen entered the church on the arm of her father, she wore a gown of white gingerbread chiffon over taffeta featuring a chapel-length train. A design of venise lace and small daisies high-lighted the gown and outlined the fingertip veil. She carried a lace-covered Bible with a single, large orchid accented by ribbons, rose buds and lilies of the valley.

Miss Patricia Ann Schoen, Neillsville, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Julie Smith of La Crosse, Mrs. Shelly Hauge of Neillsville and Mrs. Mary Piepenhagen of La Crosse. They appeared in brown and orange bodysuits complimented by long, figured skirts in shades of brown, orange and off-white and carried basket arrangements of carnations in hues to match their skirts.

Ron Zank, Neillsville, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Glen Miller, Pittsville, and Tom Pagenkopf and Dan Krehmeyer, Neillsville. Guests were seated by Eddie Schoen, Jr., and Steve Miller.

The Neillsville American Legion Hall was chosen for the reception.

The bride and groom are 1970 and 1967 graduates, respectively of Neillsville High School, and the bride also graduated from District One Technical Institute-Eau Claire. The new Mrs. Miller is employed in a local bank and her husband works for an area construction company. Following a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, they will reside on Rt. 1 Neillsville.
