Burmeister, Barbara J. (Williamson) (17 AUG 1934 - 31 MAR 2015)

Barbara J. Burmeister, 80, Athens, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born August 17, 1934 in Dane County, daughter of the late Roy and Evelyn (Dorman) Williamson. On February 11, 1950 she married Henry Burmeister at Zion Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2009.

Barb farmed in the town of Berlin and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She enjoyed playing cards, blackjack and taking trips to the casino. Above all she loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Survivors include four children, Gary (Suzanne) Burmeister, Rib Falls, Helen (Robert) Kuklinski, town of Reid, Allen Burmeister, town of Berlin and Robert (Renee) Burmeister, town of Berlin; grandchildren, Albert (Cheryl) Burmeister, Lynette (Dave) Burmeister, Lee (Gina) Burmeister, Michael Burmeister, Lisa (Ben) Laatch, Brianna Burmeister, Leah Burmeister, Sarah (Ehren) Malinowski, Bruce Burmeister and Derek Burmeister; great grandchildren, Maculey, Dawson, Dakota, Alexandria, Seth, Miranda, Aliyah, Audrey, Cheyanne, Hayden and one any day; four brothers, Roy (Florence) Williamson, town of Berlin, Burton Williamson, Kronenwetter, Wallace (Pearl) Williamson, Wausau and LaVern (Kathy) Williamson, Texas; sisters, LaVonne Conklin, town of Berlin, Cheryl (Randal) Strehlow, Kronenwetter and Cindy (Robert) Krueger, Phelps; many other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Kuklinski Jr. and a sister, Lucile Stevens.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg. Rev. Philip Bogen will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to special friends Ann Ohde, Richard and Sally Stubbe, and special niece Carol Koehler for all the wonderful things you did for Barb. They would also like to thank the staffs at Wausau Manor and Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their compassionate care and to Pastor Philip Bogen for his spiritual guidance and friendship to Barb.
