Bender, Zaidyn Kane (24 May 2011 - 28 March 2015)

Zaidyn Bender, 3, of Granton passed peacefully in the arms of his mother, Lauren, Saturday, March 28, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Zaidyn Kane Bender was born May 24, 2011, in Marshfield, the son of Lauren Meddaugh and David Bender. Zaidyn was born with a rare genetic disorder called Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome. During his short three and one-half years of life he touched so many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Zaidyn loved going on walks in his stroller and being held by his parents and family. Zaidyn also loved listening to music, going cam0ing and hearing his family members’ voices talk to him.

Zaidyn is survived by his mother, Lauren Meddaugh, and father, David Bender, both of Granton; a sister, Jenifer Bender of Granton; grandparents, Larry Meddaugh of Granton, Lauren Walker of Milwaukee, David Bender of Neillsville and Renee Arndt of Black River Falls; and four great-grandparents.

A Memorial service for Zaidyn will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. Pastor Daniel Schoessow will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Satruday at the church.
