Schnoor, Shirley (24 JUL 1965)

Nuptials were read at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday, July 24, 1965 for Miss Shirley Schnoor and Dennis Lee Kademan at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. White gladioli and pink carnations adorned the altar when the bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Harold G. Woodworth performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorance Schnoor of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Ervin Kademan of Colby. Both the bride and the groom have been employed in Milwaukee.

Arlyn Mills of Chippewa Falls sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Because," accompanied at the organ by Miss Jane Westendorf.

The bride's white floor-length gown had an empire waist and was made of crepe boucille in sheath style. It featured a fitted lace bodice and a detachable Watteau train. Her elbow length veil was secured to a bow headpiece with lace and set in pearls. Her flowers were three orchids surrounded with pink carnations.

Miss Beth Westendorf, Milwaukee, was the maid of honor, and Miss Shirley Bowen, Colby, and Mrs. Betty Gottschalk, Milwaukee, the bridesmaids.

They were attired in pink crepe boucille floor-length sheaths with empire waists and scoop necklines. Each had a matching headpiece and their flowers were white Fuji mums with olive green ribbon.

Dennis Schmidt, Wheatland, was best man; Tom Malmgren, Hartford, and Levi Mews, Milwaukee, the groomsmen; and Douglas Koffarnus and Michael Weise, the ushers.

The wedding reception and supper were held in the church parlors and the wedding dance took place in the evening at the Colby Park.

Mrs. Kademan, a 1962 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, is employed by Milwaukee Gas Light Co., Milwaukee, where she and her husband are residing. He works for Mews Readi-Mix there and is a 1962 graduate of Colby High School.
