Koerner, Vicky (Marriage - 26 October 1973)

Colby High School classmates, Miss Vicky Koerner and Richard Hainzlsperger, were married Friday, October 26, in a 7:30 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, by the Rev. Rolland Golz. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Koerner, Rt. 1 Dorchester, presented their daughter in marriage to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Hainzlsperger, Unity.

The bride appeared in a lace-trimmed gown of satin organza featuring a high neckline, bishop sleeves and double-ruffle hem. A floor-length veil framed her costume. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, daisy pompons and baby’s breath.

High-waists azalea pink chiffon gowns fashioned with long sleeves and high collars were worn by Shelley Koerner of Dorchester, maid-of-honor, and by Mrs. Sue Raatz of Unity and Mrs. Ronnie L. Weinfurtner of Marshfield, bridesmaids. Matching headpieces completed their ensembles. Each carried a single, long-stemmed white chrysanthemum tinted pink.

Bill Neitzel, Colby, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Lee Raatz, Unity, and Ronnie L. Weinfurtner, Marshfield. Guests were seated by Jim Polster and Doug Ayer.

Soloist Vicky Nixdorf sang “Wedding Song” and “A Time for us”. The organist was Ellen Schumacher.

A reception was held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

The bride and groom are 1973 graduates of Colby High School. She is an employee of a Colby bank and he is employed at Abbotsford by a railroad company. They will live on Rt. 1, Dorchester.
