Wolter, Tena Alvina (5 MAY 1900 – 5 APR 1966)

Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, April 9, from the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, for Mrs. Hugo Wolter. The parish pastor, Rev. Beryl Knudsen, officiated at the final rites, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery at Withee.

Messrs. Leo Stewart, Arliss Offord, Art Peterson, Chris Bakke, Henry Balicki and Archie Nourse served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Wolter, nee Tena Alvina Moen, was born May 5, 1900, in the Town of Worden, Clark County, and passed away at her home southwest of Withee (Clark Co., Wit.) on Tuesday, April 5th, 1966, when she succumbed to a heart attack. She was 65 years and 11 months of age.

On Sec. 12, 1922 she and Hugo Wolter were married in a service performed at Stanley. They immediately settled on their present farm southwest of Withee, which they word and developed until their retirement.

She was always an active figure in the affairs of her community in addition to being a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church, where she was active in the ladies aid. In addition she derived great pleasure from her participation in the Helping Hand Sewing Club.

Mourning her loss are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Valera) Von Wold, Eau Claire; two sisters, Mrs. Art (Regina) Smasal, rural Withee and Mrs. Mabel Henderson, Oregon; two brothers, Chester Moen, Stanley, and Otto Moen, Ely, Minn.; two step-brothers, Sam and Elmer Hagen, both of Stanley, and two grandchildren.
