Globe (3 Oct 1918)

F. Thoma, wife and two children of Helenville, Wis., have been here on a visit with the former’s cousin, W.B. Thoma, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. G. Mallig and their son-in-law of Granton autoed to Marshfield Tuesday.

Mrs. Gus. Kalsow is spending some time with her sister in Neillsville.

Little Harry Westphal of Neillsville has been visiting his cousin, Victor Schlinkert.

Pete Susa has returned home from the west and spent Sunday at Ed. Klueckman’s.

Miss Clara Henchen returned to her work at Dubuque, Iowa, Monday after spending a few weeks at home.

This city was greatly shocked when they heard of the sudden death of Nicholas Phillippi Monday, after only a short illness. His home is in Colby, but for a number of years has made his home at Ed. Prock’s. He was well liked by all his friends and will be greatly missed in this community. The body was shipped to Colby Tuesday, where the funeral will beheld Wednesday morning.

Theo. Schlinkert of Neillsville was a Globe caller Sunday.
