Oberle, Blasius (13 JAN 1897 – 4 JUL 1968)

Blasius George Oberle, 71, passed away at the Victory Hospital, Stanley, on Thursday, July 4th, 1968.

Mr. Oberle, a retired employee of Blue Moon Cheese, was born Jan. 13, 1897 in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). He was a veteran of World War I and was a Legion member.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp on Saturday, July 6th, with father Brockman officiating at the ten a.m. service. Burial was in the Thorp Cemetery(actually St. Bernard's Cemetery) with military rites. Members of the Legion were pallbearers.

Surviving are: three sons, Gordon and George Oberle of Milwaukee, William Oberle of eau Claire; five grandchildren; five brothers, Martin Oberle of Stanley, Fred Oberle of Owen, August Oberle of Spencer, Peter Oberle of Port Washington, Leo Oberle of Gilman; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Schmidt of Sheboygan, Mrs. George Meske of Thorp, Mrs. Anton Hendricks of Sheboygan and Mrs. Peter Larson of Ft. Atkinson.
