Mrs. Richard Goss and daughters of Milwaukee spent last weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs, while her husband was on a fishing trip to Canada. She returned home Friday.

Mrs. Hazel Pettis of Highland Park, Il., was a house guests at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken, the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lokken, Minneapolis, spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Klemetson spent the weekend at Holcombe Lake as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Schjoneman.

Mrs. Martha Harmel spent the past weekend at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and family, at Chili.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bucy of Murray, Ky., former area residents, were visiting the past week at the home of her father, Joseph Ackerman Sr., and other relatives in this area. They returned home on Sunday. Other guests there were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Evanson and family of Adach, Ireland, and Mrs. Inez Ostlund of Superior. On Saturday, they all attended a Burtard-Ackerman family reunion at Rock Dam. Guests came from Ireland, Kentucky, Superior, Marshfield, West Bend, Owen, Gilman, Curtiss, Milwaukee, Dorchester, Holcombe, and other surrounding towns.

Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig and son Claude, left Friday morning for Sacramento, Calif., where they will spend several weeks visiting at the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Peissig and family, and other relatives in that area. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peissig will meet them there. They are also on vacation.

Mrs. Belle Williams left for Sugar Bush on Wednesday to visit at the home of Mrs. Mabel Ruckdashel, after visting at the home of Mrs. Marge Wredmond and Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach the past weeks.

Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach returned home on Sunday from Tomah, where she visited several weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Schraufnagel.

Mrs. Tom Brady spent several days last week at the home of Mrs. Anna C. Peterson.

Toivo Mattila of Waukegan, Ill. was a weekend guest at the Clarence Schultz home, and other relatives here. He also visited his mother, Mrs. Selma Mattila, at Owen, who will accompany him to Milwaukee to visit at the Lyn Grace home. Mr. and Mrs. Matt Kallio of Waukegan accompanied him here and are visiting at the Andrew Kallio home, and with other relatives in this area.

Mrs. Herman Klocke and Mrs. George Seidel returned by plane to Wausau from Grand Rapids, Mich., on Saturday, where they had visited their children, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Klocke and family, the past week.

Mrs. Ed Neibacher and two daughters, Lind and Rita, of Los Angeles, Calif., are visiting at the Herman Klocke and Oscar Neibacher homes, and with other relatives in this area.

David Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz, is attending Cornell University at Ithaca, New York. He is taking an assistantship in agriculture economics and is working for his doctor's degree.

Mrs. F.H. Matthias entertained the Midway card club at her home on Tuesday, July 2.

The Parks Happy 13 4-H club met at the home of Clarence Schultz Monday evening, July 1.

Mrs. Sylvia Anderson and son Randy of Chicago, Miss Lois Jensen of Nashville, Tenn., Miss Karen Jensen of Colby, Marvin Jensen of Stevens Point, and his fiancé, Miss Alyce Jacob of Palm Springs, Fla., visited their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barts, Saturday, June 22.
