Fitense, Walter (1 NOV 1918 – 20 NOV 1967)

Walter Fitense, 49, died of cancer at his home in the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.) Monday night.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, from Tuesday evening until noon on Wednesday, when it was taken to the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Charles Glidden conducted funeral services at 2 o'clock, after which interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Mr. Fitense was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Walter Fitense was born Nov. 1, 1918, in the town of Hull and lived there all of his life. His marriage to Ruth Moen took place at Colby Oct. 29, 1949.

Mr. Fitense farmed until 1964, when ill health forced him to retired. For a short time he worked at the Abbotsford Lime Service and then at All Metal Stamping, until one and one-half months before his death.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Walterette, Margaret, Sarah and Martha, and one son, Fred, all at home.

He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Clara Pope of Stevens Point, Mrs. Vora Voelker of Pittsville, and Mrs. Eleanor Truchenski of Vesper, and one brother, Art Kaesstner of Missouri.
