Feala, Edward (26 DEC 1879 – 21 NOV 1967)

Funeral services for Edward Feala, 87, Abbotsford, who died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1967, were held Friday morning. Mr. Feala was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital, Medford that evening and death occurred at 9:40 p.m.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, where a rosary service was held Thursday evening. A mass of requiem was sung at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, Friday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating.

Interment was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery, at which the following served as pallbearers: Al Herrmann, David Herrmann, Jerry Klocynski, Archie Mohan, Melvin Mohan and Harold Strobeihn.

The four children of Mr. Feala were here for the funeral.

Edward Feala was born in Milwaukee Dec. 26, 1879. When he was about two years old his parents came to farm in the town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.). His marriage to Christine Picha took palce Aug. 3, 1903, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester. They lived in the town of Holton for about two years, then came to Abbotsford, where they built a house on N. Second Street. After living there about 25 years, they bought 15 acres of land in the town of Holton, adjoining Abbotsford. Mr. Feala later sold part of this, retaining an acre, on which he place his mobile home.

Mr. Feala was a farmer, tiler, carpenter, machinist and car repair man during his active years.

He is survived by four children: Bernard Feala and Mrs. Bill (Leona) Fleming of Mundelein, Ill., David Feala and Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Sorenson of Clio, Mich.
