Kaiser, Ruth Magdalyn (18 NOV 1967)

St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene of the Nov. 18, 1967 marriage of Ruth Magdalyn Kaiser of Colby and Robert Adrian Blume of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).

Father John Olson heard the exchange of vows in the ceremony which began at 1:30 p.m. Music during the ceremony was provided by St. Mary's Choir.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kaiser of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Blume of Curtiss.

Friends of the bride and groom were the attendants. Ann Feldbruegge of Dorchester was the matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Linda Martens of Loyal and Mary Yost of Spencer. The best man was Dave Poehnelt of Colby, and groomsmen were Ken Severson of Loyal and John Becker of Colby.

The bride chose a gown fashioned with an A-line white lace cage over a straight empire satin dress with satin trimming on the hemline and on the floor length train. Her Malibu fur headpiece held a bouffant veil. Her bouquet was of yellow roses, red carnations and white pompons.

Each of the bridesmaids dresses consisted of a medium blue lace empire A-line chiffon cage ope in front. Each wore a Malibu fur headpiece with a short veil. Their flowers were two towned blue carnations with two buds mounted on a bunny fur muff.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held and a 4:30 p.m. supper served to about 200 guests at St. Mary's school gymnasium.

The bride is employed at the Abbotsford Variety Store, and the groom at the Northern Freeport Silo Co. at Withee. They will be making their home at 114 N. 5th Street, Abbotsford.

Out of town guests attending the ceremonies came from Curtiss, Withee, Owen, Abbotsford, Dorchester, Medford, Athens, Milan, Wausau, Unity, Spencer, Marshfield, Richfield, Milwaukee, Chippewa Falls, Manitowoc, Cedarburg, Fort Atkinson and Germantown.
