Denk, Alice Kaye (8 AUG 1970)

On Saturday, Aug. 8, 1970, at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Mary's Church in Greenwood , Alice Kaye Denk of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged wedding vows with Jim M. Funte, Rt. 2, Greenwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Kline, Rt. 1, Greenwood.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Officiating at the ceremony was Fr. L. Koopman. Organist was Mary Jo Wagner.

The bride wore an empire waisted gown, raised moonlight brocade with silk organza and puffy sleeves. Her veil was cathedral style with a headpiece made of tea roses, stephanotis and baby breath.

The maid of honor was Rosie Barr, sister of the bride, and her bridesmaids were Miss Beth Lindner of Greenwood, and Miss Lois Brzezinski, also of Greenwood.

The bride's attendants apparel consisted of chartreuse-green taffeta gowns with georgette covering and taffeta collar and trimmings. They carried baskets of pastel flowers and greens.

The flower girls were Patti Denk, Barbi Denk, Sheri Annen, and Liz Liebzeit, all nieces of the bride.

Best man for the occasion was Tom Barr of Oshkosh, and the groomsmen were Jeff Herrick of Milwaukee and Joe Petkovsek.

Ushering were Don Funte of Morris, Ill. and Gerry Denk of Greenwood.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Legion Hall, and a buffet supper was held in the church hall. The dance that evening was also held in the Legion Hall.

Mrs. Funte is a 1969 graduate of Greenwood High School. Her husband is a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School.

The couple is spending their honeymoon in the western states.
