Rosenthal, Janet (1 AUG 1970)

Miss Janet Rosenthal became the bride of Mr. John Butterbrodt in a candlelight service at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartford, Wis. on Saturday, Aug. 1, 1970, at 7 p.m.

The parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Armond Rosenthal of Hartford, and Mrs. Marvelene Butterbrodt of Loyal. The Rev. Maurios Falton officiated at the ceremony. The "Theme from Romeo and Juliet" and "The Lord's Prayer" were sung by the soloist, Leonard Burns of Hartford.

Tall Candelabra with white satin bows were place along the aisle and near the altar. White gladioli and chrysanthemums decorated the altar.

The bride wore an A-line organza silhouette wedding gown with a Venice lace caplet collar detailed with a satin ribbon drawn through forming a bow on each shoulder. The Venice lace was repeated again in the narrow band edging the detachable sheer train. Her veil was English silk illusion secured to a Camelot hat covered with heavy lace, enhanced by seed pearls. A cascade of white Phalaenopsis orchids complemented the bride's gown.

The attendants, Mrs. David Hintz, Amherst, the matron of honor, and Mrs. Alan Main, Epworth, Iowa, the brides matron, were identically dressed in floor length empire gowns of brown voile with crisp details of embroidered white schiffli. The headpieces were bows of embroidered cotton lace daisy chanis and each carried a white candle encircled by white daisies and baby chrysanthemums.

Alan Main served as best man and David Hintz as groomsman. Mark Kehrberg, Loyal, and Michael Lindow, Chili, were ushers for the ceremony.

The bride's mother attended the wedding in an aqua brocade dress with mock pearls and silver braid on the stand up collar. Beige accessories completed her outfit.. The groom's mother wore a beige lace dress with dark brown accessories. Both wore a cymbidium orchid corsage to complement their outfits.

A reception and buffet supper were held at the Hartford Towne House following the ceremony.

The newlyweds will make their home in Cadott where Mr. Butterbrodt will teach secondary English and speech and Mrs. Butterbrodt will teach third grade.
