Willard (11 April 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. John Lesar, who have a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Adeline) Krembs, and family of Huntsville, Ala., who were in a recent storm there, are okay. The tornado ravaged that part of the country.

Friday night a pre-nuptial bridal shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Keller for Barbara Shain. Hostesses were Harriet Keller and Marian Kirn. Thirty eight ladies were present. After the presents were opened by the bride to be, Barbara Shain, and groom to be, Joseph Petkovsek, Jr., games were played and a lunch was served followed by a social gathering. The young couple plans to be married in Willard.

The Slovenian Women’s Union held their Easter basket sale last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kirchenberg and Brian of Racine spent the week end here with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Volovsek, while Mrs. Kirchenberg and Brian remained for a whole week’s vacation. Mr. Kirchenberg returned after the weekend.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Marincic have returned from a five-month vacation. During their absence they were in Port Dodge, Ia., Mountain Home, Ark., New Orleans, La., Mc Cullen, Tx., and Elmo, Tx., where they remained for the winter.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Sr., visited from Friday until Monday in Milwaukee and Racine with their relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Vandy Suda of Gurnee, Il., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr., and with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Jr., and family.

Lawrence Suda went last Thursday to Rochester, Mn.

Mr. and Mrs. John Govek of Medford visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek. John was also on guard duty.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Volovsek and Kyra spent the weekend in Eau Claire with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Turnquist.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nickel of Granton visited Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krainz and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Cohara and Becky spent the weekend in Milwaukee visiting relatives.
