Horvat, Louis (1 AUG 1914 – 31 AUG 1958)

Louis Edward Horvat, son of Mrs. Johanna Horvat and the late John Horvat, was born in Aspen, Colorado on August 1, 1914. He came with his parents to Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1916 and has lived here ever since.

In November 1941 he was united in marriage with Ann Snedic at Willard, and they have resided in the Willard area ever since.

Mr. Horvat died on Sunday, August 31, 1958 from the accidental discharge of a gun at his farm home in the town of Hendren.

A rosary was said at the Hill Funeral Parlors Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services were held at 9:00ja.m. at the Hill Funeral Parlors on Wednesday, September 3rd, and a requiem Mass was said at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev. Father Aloysius Madic, pastor, officiated.

The pallbearers were Cyril Rakovec, Anton Gosar, Leo Gregorich, Wm. Petkovsek, Ed Bukovec, and Frank Lamovec.

Mr. Horvat is survived by his wife, four daughters, Betty of Greenwood; Helen, Angelia and Patricia, and one son, Eddie, at home; his mother, Mrs. Johanna Horvat, Greenwood; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Klune, Greenwood; Mrs. Val (Helen) Krainz, Mrs. Joseph (Jenny) Tolaney, both of Willard.
