Severson, June M. (16 AUG 1957 – 2 APR 2016)
June M. Severson, 58, Loyal, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at her home, with her family at her side. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 7, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Rev. Zach Burris will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

June Owens was born on Aug. 16, 1957, in Marshfield, the daughter of Pierce Jr. and Carol (nee Reinke) Owens. She graduated from Colby High School in 1975. June married Richard Lee Severson on Aug. 23, 1975, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp. June worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Clark County Health Care Center for 19 years. She loved her husband, family, gardening and music.

June is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard, of Loyal; her children: Audrey (Patrick) Hanson of Granton and their children — Lucas, Emily, Isaac, Josiah and Jonathan; Travis (Katie) Severson of Unity and their children — Alexander, Abigail, Trinity, Talon, Zane, Isabelle and Justice; and Rikki (Jason) McGlone of Marshfield and their children — Zachary and Kylie. She is further survived by her mother, Carol Owens of Colby; her siblings: Virginia (Steve) Winscher of Mondovi, Mark (Glynis) Owens of El Paso, Texas, and Lisa (Kevin) Molitor of Colby; a brother-in-law, Jeff Ohde of Chetek; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Lester Severson of Loyal; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pierce Owens Jr.; and her two sisters, Linda Ohde and Brenda Owens.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred.
