Clark, Irene Marie (12 April 1927 - 24 January 2016)

Irene Marie (Garbers) Clark died peacefully Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Family heritage Nursing Home in Black River Falls. She was born April 12, 1927, in Clark County to George H. and Edna (Heineck) Garbers. She married Bryce Clark in 1949 and spent most of her life near Black River Falls. Irene loved her family above all and was a firm believer in the values of honesty and hard work.

She is survived by her sons: Thomas (Mary Jo), Melrose and Mark (Jill), Black River Falls; grandchildren: Donald, Alison (Eric) Evans, Erin (William) Roberts and Caitlin; one great-grandchild, Mark Roberts; siblings: Betty Zibolski, Marie Bembenek, Beverly Garbers and George Garbers Jr., as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Janona; and several brothers and sisters.

Irene was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Black River Falls. Memorial arrangements are pending with Torgerson Funeral Home, Black River Falls.
