West Eaton (6 Feb 1919)

Mrs. Yartz and Mr. and Mrs. Murlak and two daughters visited with Mrs. Podobnik Sunday.

Pearl Burington and August Meinholt spent Sunday afternoon with Jason Bostwick. We are glad to see Pearl looking so well.

Mr. Oznich and son, Joe, are hauling hay from the Platisa farm near Willard, which they bought at the sale.

Lena Murlak did some housework for Mrs. Podobnik Monday.

H. Bostwick and son, Lyle, were Willard callers Monday.

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Podobnik has been sick with a cold.

Jason Bostwick has resigned his position at the Dresdon livery barn and is working at the Mason home in Eaton.

Gertrude Podobnik visited Iola Gemmeke Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Gemmeke and daughter, Iola, called at Borger’s Thursday afternoon.

The Bahl family received a telegram from Claus Anderson that he had arrived safely in the States. The word came Thursday. We are all very glad and hope to have Claus with us soon as he will help liven up our bunch.

A. Davey spent Friday afternoon and evening with Mrs. H. Bostwick.

Ben Stanley and son, Leo, spent Sunday afternoon at the Gemmeke and Bostwick home.

Mike Podobnik and children spent Sunday evening at the Gemmeke home.

Sophia Susa called on Mrs. Yartz and Bostwick’s Sunday afternoon.

We are glad to know that Dr. Kennedy has arrived in Greenwood to stay.

Jennie Podobnik called at Bostwick’s Sunday.
