Saturday, June 24, 1978, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Spencer, Miss Julie Kay Mellenthin, Route 1, Spencer, became the bride of William Joseph Ausbourne, 206 S. Pearl Street, Spencer. Pastor David Ault officiated and Curt Podbelsek played the guitar and sang. Mrs. Marsh Marten, Unity, was the organist.

Miss Mellenthin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mellenthin, Route 1, Spencer, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Ausbourne Sr., 206 S. Pearl Street, Spencer.

Given in marriage by her mother and father, the bride was seen in in an organza gown with lace high neck, cameo insert, ruffled chapel length train, and fingertip matching lace trimmed veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white daisies and baby's breath.

Miss Jackie Graves, 304Douglas, Spencer, was maid of honor, and Miss Debra Mellenthin, Route 1, Spencer and Mrs. Becky Murphy, Route 1, Baraboo, were bridesmaids. They were attired in gowns of pastel blue, green and yellow. They carried bouquets of yellow, blue and green daisies.

Serving as bet man was Edgar Ausbourne Jr., Abbotsford, and Ron Mellenthin and Curt Podbelsek, Spencer, were groomsmen.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Village plaza, Spencer Village Plaza, Sepncer.

The bride is a 1976 graduate of Spencer High School and is employed as a medical assistant at the Marshfield Clinic. The groom is a 1974 graduate of Spencer High School and is employed at Boock Industries, Spencer..

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple will reside at 300 W. Main, Spencer.
