Brenner, Isabelle P. (18 JUL 1931 – 5 JUN 2016)

Isabelle "Issy" P. Brenner, age 84, of Abbotsford, formerly of Curtiss, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield in Palliative Care with her family by her side. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday June 9, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman will officiate. Interment to follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.

Isabelle was born July 18, 1931 in Owen, the daughter of Paul and Alvira (Wachsmuth) Stumpner. She was united in marriage to Alvin Brenner on January 19, 1952 at Emmanuel Lutheran church in Longwood. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2005. Isabelle worked at the Clark County Health Care Center in the laundry department for many years.

Isabelle was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. She also was a member of the Curtiss Community Club. Isabelle enjoyed music, reading, and gardening. She also loved her "sister weekends". Most importantly, Isabelle loved spending time with her family.

Isabelle is survived by her five daughters: Janice Collins of Madison, Debbie (Jim) Sheets of Plymouth, Karen Brenner of Spencer, Susan (Doug) Bauer of Unity, and Shari (Todd) Kaiser of Spencer; nine grandchildren: Amy Collins, Brian (Kim) Sheets, Lynne (Kevin) Seubert, Brad and Matthew Wilke, Josh and Jesse Bauer, Kelsey and Lindsey Kaiser; two great-grandchildren: Oliver and Estella Sheets. She is further survived by 11 brothers and sisters: Kathleen Ryba, Mary Jane Tracy, Barb Soback, Kenny Stumpner, Linda (Maurice) Sterken, Lila (Mick) Thayer, Carolyn Smazal, Jenny (Bill) Schuette, Paul (Julie) Stumpner, Joe Stumpner and Cindy (Doug) Hayes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvin; her daughter, Diane in 1961, three brothers: Eugene, Dale and Eddie Stumpner and a son-in-law, Jim Collins.
