Bushman, Rita Rosemary (16 JAN 1971)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, January 16, 1971, at 1:00 p.m. between Rita Rosemary Bushman, Route 1, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Russell F. Reeths, 1206 E. Eighth Street, Marshfield.

The setting was St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, and the Nuptial Mass was said by Rev. Leander Koopman, and the bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bushman, and the groom was escorted to the altar by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Reeths.

The soloist was Mr. William Allen, Marshfield, and her was accompanied on the organ by Sister Ronalda, Greenwood.

The bride's floor length gown was of taffeta, silk organza and Chantilly lace, with a high neckline, long lady bishop sleeves, and a belted bodice accented with pearl trim. She chose a petal headpiece trimmed with pearls, which held her three tier bouffant veil. She carried a cascade of large white mums, snowdrift pompons, hyacinths with camellia foliage and ivy.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Patricia (Bushman) Bogdonovich, Greenwood, wore a floor length formal with a white ruffled neckline. A headpiece of ribbon and lace held her peacock veil in place. She carried a bouquet of snowdrift pompons and peacock star flowers.

The bridesmaids, Mrs. Jean Bushman, Greenwood, Miss Janet Hoffman, Marshfield, and Miss Ellen Liebzeit, Marshfield, wore dresses identical to the matron of honor, as were their bouquets.

The best man was David Bushman, Greenwood, and groomsmen were Mr. William Haines, Green Bay, Mr. Robert Genrich, Marshfield, and Mr. Dennis Bushman, Greenwood.

Alan Bushman, Greenwood and Mr. Roger Kyle, Loyal, served as ushers.

An afternoon reception was held at the Village Plaza, Spencer and places were laid for 200 guests for dinner at St. Mary's Hall, Greenwood, where a dance was held in the evening.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed at the Marshfield Clinic as a secretary.

The groom is a 1965 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, and a 1970 graduate of the University of Green Bay. He is the owner of H-Rev Speed Equipment, and Sound City, Green Bay.

The couple will make their home at 807 South Cherry, Marshfield.
