Aderhold, Herman F. (8 FEB 1884 – 9 MAY 1968)

A former Colby resident, Herman F. Aderhold, 84, of Athens, was found dead at his home Thursday morning, May 9, 1968.

Marathon County Coroner William O'Conner ruled that death has occurred about 12 hours earlier, apparently from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services were held at Christ United Church at Athens Saturday, May 11, and burial as made in the Athens Cemetery. Pallbearers were seven grandsons.

Mr. Aderhold was born February 8, 1884 in Colby. He was a 1903 graduate of the agricultural College at the University of Wisconsin. He was engaged inf arming, operating the Helendale Farms at Athens for about 10 years, and then his own farm in the town of Rietbrock until 19 years ago, when he moved to Athens.

His marriage to Lela May Johnson, who died January 10, 1966, took place at Crandon July 10, 1912.

Surviving are four sons, eleven grandchildren three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Henry, of Colby, and a sister, Mrs. Millie Johnson, Abbotsford.
