Mrs. Hendrickson is shown above, engaged in one of her hobbits – cooking. She also enjoys sewing and embroidering. She is a delightful lady who is pleasant to everyone.

She was born in Chicago, Ill., in 1892, and came to live in the Town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.), at the age of eleven. She finished grade school at Rossman School – now known as Maple Center district. She later spent two winters in Chicago, her home town, doing housework.

In 1911 she married Oliver Hendrickson and they made their home on a farm in the Greenwood area, just northeast of town. Mrs. Hendrickson still resides on that farm, but says there has been a big chage in the amount of farm land that is tillable, as compared to the 40 acres that it began with. The farm now consists of 120 acres of good farm land. This land is cared for by one of Mrs. Hendrickson's sons. Her other son owns a farm that is located across the road from her, and her one daughter lives in Rosendale, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Hedrickson is the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In 1956 Mr. Hendrickson passed away. Mrs. Hendrickson is now content to brighten up lives of all who know her.

She hopes to go by plane to New Hampshire to visit her brother and sister, sometime in the future.

She has belonged to various organizations, including Homemakers Society and Ladies Aid at her church.

Her greatest accomplishment has been that of raising her family.

We, the people of Greenwood, should be more than honored to possess people who are as kind and good-hearted as this happy, contented lady – Mrs. Oliver Hendrickson.
