Tributes to William A. Dallman, manager of the Clark Electric Cooperative, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), were made during the cooperative's annual meeting June 9, 1964. Dallman will retire on August 1.

Vern Howard, former president of the system, recalled the early days of the co-op and revealed that "Things in those days were so rough that Bill Dallman twice submitted his resignation. Fortunately, however, the board was able to talk Bill into staying." Howard presented an inscribed platter to the retiring manager, citing him for his many years of devoted service to the members of the cooperative.

Tributes and plaques were also presented by tom Grey, assistant general manager of Dairyland Power Cooperative, La Crosse, and Harvey Schermerhorn, public relations director for Wisconsin Electric Cooperative, Madison.

It was the first such tribute to a retiring manager in Dairyland's history. Dairyland is the wholesale power supplier for the cooperative.

Schermerhorn, acting on behalf of WEC General Manager, W.V. Thomas, said: "It is my firm conviction that Bill Dallman has given outstanding leadership and management to the Clark Electric Cooperative, its board of directors and its membership."

Harland Bergemann New Manager

August Stremikis of Greenwood, president of the Clark system, announced that the board has hired Harland Bergemann to succeed Dallman as manager. Bergemann has been employed by the co-op for the past 26 years and presently serves as office manager.
