Haunschild, Marilyn Mae (27 JUN 1964)

A residence at 1616 Park Towne Place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, awaits Mr. and Mrs. John Arthur Kruse, who are now on a two week honeymoon in northern Wisconsin. They were married Saturday, June 27, 1964, at Greenwood.

The bride, Miss Marilyn Mae Haunschild of Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Haunschild, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged marriage vows with the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kruse of Sun Prairie. The Rev. David Kellin officiated in Grace Methodist Church, and Mr. and Haunschild presented his daughter in marriage.

Mrs. David Kellin sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "O Perfect Love," accompanied by Charles Ivey at the organ. White gladioli graced the church altar and bows and ferns decorated the pews.

Miss Haunschild's gown was of white organza cut with a scoop neckline and trimmed with peau d'range lace. Her Watteau train in chapel length was attached at the waistline and her veil of silk illusion was secured by a bridal headpiece of lace and miniature pearls. She carried a cascade of red roses, gardenias and swansonia.

Miss Mary Ann Haunschild, Madison, served as maid of honor. Mrs. Gene Swanson, St. Paul, Minn., and Miss Kathryn Kruse, Sun Prairie, were bridesmaids. All were dressed alike in floor length blue dresses accented with small circular headpieces with veils, and each carried a long stemmed white duchess rose.

Owen Schwerdtfeger, Cottage Grove, was the groom's best man, and Stanley Wagner and John Cobb, both of Sun Prairie, were his groomsmen. Dale and Jon Haunschild and William Kruse were ushers.

After the marriage ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors. Guests attending came from Cedar Rapids, Iowa; St. Paul, Minn.; Neillsville, Eau Claire, Madison, Sun Prairie, Mt. Horeb, Oshkosh, Viroqua, De Forest, Mondovi, Strum, Eleva, Watertown, La Crosse, Stevens Point, Stoughton, Columbus and Rio, Wisconsin.

The new Mrs. Kruse was a 1962 graduate of Luther Hospital School of Nursing in Eau Claire and has been employed at University Hospital in Madison. The groom graduated that year from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and was a member of Kappa Eta Kappa. He is an electrical engineer for Collins Radio Co. in Cedar Rapids.
