Boehm, Kenneth W. (3 NOV 1955 - 19 JUN 2009)

Kenneth W. Boehm, 53, Wausau, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at the VA Hospital in Madison.

He was born November 3, 1955, in Wausau, son of the late Raymond and Mildred (Ziliak) Boehm. On August 22, 1998, he married Karon Ottman in Wausau. She survives.

Ken was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Enterprise. He enjoyed going to auctions, fishing and trips to the casino. His true passion was spending time with children.

Survivors include his wife, Karon Boehm, Wausau; a stepson, Brian (Christina) DeHart, Sheboygan; two stepgranddaughters, Caitlyn and Emma; one brother, Brian (Denise) Boehm, Wausau; one sister, Nancy Figlmiller, Wausau; and nieces and nephews, Heather Boehm, Corry (Melissa) Boehm, Aaron Boehm, Josh (Kim) Grimm, Nicola Grimm, Steven Boehm, Michael Boehm.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Keith and Amanda Boehm, two brothers, David and Douglas Boehm.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday June 23, 2009 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the Sixth Street funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
