The Owen-Withee High School 1967 Prom Court are Candace Kaz, Trudy Tytor,
Beverly Chudyk, Peggy Petke, Lois Hatlestad (Queen), Conrad Thorson, Mike Rabska
(King), Bob Conzemius, Jim Miller, Jack Strassburger, Holly Amacher, and Richard
Rohland.
The prom was held in the Owen Grade School guy and they danced to the music of
Jack Pingle and his band from 8 p.m. to midnight.
The theme chose by the Junior Class was "Girl on a Swing," with the gym
decorated with dark blue and dark green crepe paper streamers, flowers and small
trees. The throne for the King and Queen was an elevated porch with a wing
covered with paper decorations. The punch stand was of a wishing well design.
At the Crowning, of the royal couple, little Richard Rohland, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edmond Rohland, carried the crown, with Holly Amacher, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Amacher, the little flower girl. The young couple stole the show
with their dancing and participating in the activities.
Faculty advisors were Mrs. James Poulter and Mr. James Larson. Serving as
chaperones were the parents of the royal couple and their court.
